The group consisted of 11 people – (L to R) Franco Wait(TM), Stuart Neill(TM), Stewart Stiles (leader), Philippa Barnard, Charles Smith, Evie Bowen, Nelia Parma(TM), Ed Kay-Shuttleworth, Christine Stiles, Mimi Kay-Shuttleworth, Analyn Knight. (TM = temp member)

The group set out just after 08h00 from the top of Arbour Rd. A different route was followed going via the Link (fast descent cycle track), upper contour path and then the path up to the cross. We then followed the Thunderbird trail running trail to the railway line which was then followed until it intersected the usual path for the ascent to the George/Cradock Peaks saddle.

As usual we had a breakfast stop at the appropriately named rock(s) and shortly thereafter the party split into two with the summit party reaching the top of Cradock Peak around 12h30 and George Peak at approximately 14h30.

It was a pity that the upper reaches of the mountains were shrouded in mist/low cloud so we missed out on spectacular views at the top. Anyway we still enjoyed some great views on the ascent and descent

We then headed back down to the cars via the usual route (via Powerstream) and the hike ended at approximately 17h30

Thanks to all those who attended the hike.
