Six members of the mountain club did the trail from Jubilee creek to the Big tree along the N2.

This was a five day and four night trail sleeping in San parks huts. The first day we did a walk from Jubilee creek to the Homtini river and back without packs, and then full packs for the last section to Millwood hut. Day one we did an easy 15km.
The second day we set of in light rain to cover 15.5km, including the Knysna river crossing with an interesting uphill walk including ladders and bridges. That night we bunked down at Rondebossie hut.
Day three was a beautiful sunny day with the highest altitude gain of trail, of 400 m up the side of Jonkersberg and up to its one smaller peak.
From here we split the group into two, Jacolise led Peter and Judy to Diepwalle hut while Clive, Hugh and Gillian did a short detour up Jonkersberg to admire the view. At Diepwalle the tea room staff had premade a milk tart for us which we greatly enjoyed. We covered a distance of 14/16 km.
Day four was again sunny and pleasant to Fisant hut – 16 km away. The last day was heavy rain so Clive, Judy and Hugh got a lift back home, and Jacolise Gillian and Peter walked to the big tree by the N2 to complete the hike.
