This meet was based at the well appointed Uitspan Campsite in the western Baviaanskloof Mountains,
near to the NuweKloof Pass. We camped under a grove of pear trees that were in full bloom. The
firewood was best quality.
On the 24th, ten of us set off to do an interesting circular route, going up the Baviaanskloof range
at Speekhout and then dropping into a sidekloof of Duiwekloof before turning south for a long
stretch of kloof with abundant cedar trees, much to the joy of tree-huggers. It was a long walk down the kloof. Some of us were a little tired.

The 25th was a warm day, and people set off on a variety of short routes on Uitspan. The spectacular
foefie slide that ends in a large pond was extensively tested. Some enjoyed the shade.
On the 26th most of us did a morning trip up Saagkuil kloof. We then departed in dribs and drabs, after a most enjoyable long weekened in the Baviaanskloof [Other attendees who evaded the camera were Eric and Isolda Hosten and Jacomi Odendaal].
