The group consisted of 16 people – Stuart Neil, Clive Louw, Cheryl and Greg Devine, Hilde and Francois Hay, Jeremy Lister-James, Stewart Stiles (leader), Nelia Parma, Saartjie van der Merwe, Linette Swart, Andre du Plessis, Annette van Wyk (visitor), Birgit Zwang (visitor), Steven and Grazyna Auf (visitors).

The group met at the Kaaiman’s N2 parking at 09h00 and proceeded to the start point at the Seven Passes Kaaiman’s bridge where we set off around 09h20.

The conditions were good with the river being reasonably high and flowing and the water temperature comfortable. The total distance covered was approximately 7,3 km. We were in and out of the water a lot and there were a number of quite long swims (50m plus). All the group managed the trip well despite being wet and in and out of the water for 5 hours.

We reached the end of the kloofing trip at N2 Kaaiman’s bridge/parking around 14h30.
