A sunny morning saw a lucky thirteen (Bruce joined later, running in from Hoekwil) on the Half-Collared Kingfisher Trail. Clive, Sandy, Greg, Cheryl, Alex, Jude, Janet, Mike, Romy, Gillian, Sandy and Gary set off from the permit office being constructed at the trailhead. Sadly the Bosduifloop was closed due to a rather active swarm of bees. The party split at the bottom of the Bridle Path, with some heading up this route while the rest continued to the waterfall, where one brave soul took a chilly dip.
All then walked up to the Cundills’ establishment on Tien myl laan for morning tea, and a swim in rather warmer water. Suitably refreshed, it was then time to reverse the route back to the cars. Good company in beautiful surroundings—not just another manic Monday.
