‘Avoiding the Grim Reaper’ by Rik de Decker (MCSA member) is an entertaining mix of stories of what not to do in the mountains, together with some good guidance on emergency preparedness and handling. These were originally priced at R250 a copy, but we have some copies from his brother and can make them available at R50 each. Just let me know if you’re interested.
I haven’t yet had any takers for next week’s walk to the Hoogekraal, but please note if you do decide to join that some family matters have led to me bringing it forward by a day. It will now be taking place on Monday 23 September.
& the calendar could do with a little more populating – why not take the opportunity to take a group out on your favourite part of the hills? Contact Karin on 082 956 2422 to publish your idea.
